Why Studio 516?   A studio is a place where an artist works, creates, teaches, and studies.  It is where they learn to express themselves and find meaning, collaborate and inspire. It is their domain — and the place from which their influence emanates.

The number 516 refers to the fifth chapter and sixteenth verse of Matthew, the first book of the New Testament. Prior to verse sixteen are the very familiar words of Jesus "You are the salt of the earth"  (verse 13) and "You are the light of the world" (verse 14). In verse sixteen Jesus draws these two teaching illustrations to conclusion: "In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven".
